Beatrice Platta, age 79, of Ripon, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 5, 2005 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
She was born September 1, 1925, in the Town of Green Lake, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Willie) Holman. She was a graduate of Brandon High School. In January of 1943, she married Arnold Sina. She later married Walter Platta and he passed away. As well as being a farm wife, Beatrice worked at Ripon Good Cookies. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her children, Victoria (James) Robbins of Ripon, Patty Sina of Milwaukee, Jerry Sina of Oshkosh, Jackie Enli of Sturgeon Bay, Glenn (Nanci) Sina of Chase Burg, Janet (David) Jole of Scandanavia, and Steve Sina of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Millie Przybyl and Beatrices twin, Bernice (Bill) Miller, both of Ripon; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son, David Sina; 1 granddaughter, Angela Robbins; and 2 sisters.
Funeral service for Beatrice Platta will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon the Rev. Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
