Beatrice I. Buhrow, 86, of Ripon, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
She was born October 24, 1918, in Markesan, a daughter to Sam & Rose (Schelter) Van Doren, and attended Markesan Schools. On May 1, 1937, she married Wesley R, Buhrow, and he passed away January 29, 1994. Until her retirement in 1984, Beatrice had been employed on the line at R-Line Foods in Ripon. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her son, Jerry W. (Mary) Buhrow of Ripon; daughter, Sharon L. (Bill) Scobie of Las Vegas; 7 grandchildren, Jerry (Sherry) Buhrow Jr of Ripon, Laurie Buhrow of Fond du Lac, Paul (Tobi) Romlow II of Madison, Bill (Laura) Scobie of Las Vegas, Brett Scobie of Westminster, MD, Bradley (Michelle) Scobie of Sykeville, MD, and Brandon (Amber) Scobie of Hanover, PA; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille Stollfus and Beverly Henslin, both of Ripon; and 1 brother, Gerald Van Doren of Alto. She was preceded in death by her mother & father; husband; 1 brother, Sam Van Doren; 2 sisters, Bernice Sturtz and Marian Long; and 1 grandson, Peter Romlow.
Funeral service for Beatrice I. Buhrow will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2005, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with Rev. Neil Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Mackford Union Prairie Cemetery, Town of Mackford. A memorial has been established.
