Barbara "Barb" Lucille Troudt

Barbara “Barb” L. (Wahoske) Troudt, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, with her loving family by her side.

Barb was born at home in Ripon on October 20, 1937, daughter of Albert and Lucille (Fochs) Wahoske. She graduated from Ripon High School, class of 1956. On November 29, 1958, she married Richard Troudt in Ripon. Richard passed away in 2004. Barb worked in payroll at Speed Queen for 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Barb loved to bake for her family and friends; made the best meatballs; and was forced to make her famous chip dip at every family event. She enjoyed trips to Colorado to visit her sister, pontoon rides with her husband, and shopping with family and friends. Most of all she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their events.

Barb is survived by her children, Christine (Jeffrey) Blackburn of Pickett, WI, Kelly (Bur) Zeratsky of Green Lake, WI, and Richard (Kristian) Troudt of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tina) Blackburn, Angela (Erik) Schraven, Shane (Ruth Hernandez) Kwakkel, Shannon (Kelly) Peth, John (Michelle) Zeratsky, Jennifer (Chris) Conant, August (Karina Strack) Zeratsky, and Hanna Claxton; great-grandchildren, Brett Peth, Brice (fianceé Shayna Wiza) Peth, Briana Blackburn, and Liliana Blackburn; a sister, Delores Mattern; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucille Wahoske; husband, Richard Troudt; a daughter, Katherine Troudt; a grandson, Steven O. Kwakkel; and siblings, Dorothy Troester, Rosemary Ustruck, Betty Burton, and James Wahoske.

A private family memorial service for Barb will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Arica Leonard officiating. Inurnment will take place at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name.
