Audrey Irene (Priebe) Kelma, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025 with her family by her side.
Audrey was born on May 17, 1943, to the late Martin and Margaret (Wellner) Priebe, the 4th of 6 siblings. She attended Peace Lutheran School in Green Lake, WI, and graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI. Audrey married Bruce Kelma on May 18, 1963. They have three surviving children, and were married for 53 years before Bruce passed on July 26, 2016.
Audrey worked for 23 years at Sears Roebuck Catalog Store. After Sears closed the doors, Bruce and Audrey, with friends, started ABC Medical Transport. Audrey also was employed at Ripon Medical Center for 19 years, and spent many years volunteering with meals on wheels and hospice. Her focus was her family. There were many camping trips when the kids were young, along with yearly family vacations throughout the states. She spent many years at the ballpark, watching her husband play baseball and softball. She coached her girls teams in the Ripon Girls Softball Little League, and spent numerous years on the bleachers watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, through football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and dance recitals. Audrey was also an avid bowler in both women’s and couples leagues. She and Bruce had many vacations traveling with her sister, Dorothy (Harold), and later in life she enjoyed trips with her good friend, Sharon Wolter on “Toms Christian Tours.”
Audrey was an active and lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, WI. She spent many years as a leader for Lutheran Girls Pioneers; was a past officer and member of the Ladies Aid; and spent over 50 years on the Easter Breakfast committee.
Audrey is survived by her children: daughter, Jodi Collien of Hartland, WI and her children, Andrea, Melissa, and Dominic; daughter, Jill (Mike) Blank of Ripon, WI and their children, Sara, Sean (Lily), and Morgan; and son, Greg (Alicia) Kelma of Princeton, WI and their children, Jacob, Jenna, and Hunter. She is further survived by 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gerri Kono of Green Lake, WI; special cousins, Gary, Phillip (Lynn), and Mark (Mary) Priebe; and numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Margaret; husband, Bruce; two children, Jeffery and Karla Kelma; a granddaughter, Rebecca Augustyn; a brother, Roger Priebe; sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Wieck, Diana Walsh, and Gloria (Dennis) Wegner; and a brother-in-law, Tom Kono.
“A special thank you to Jacob for staying with me. To my children for all their help, and to Sharon for always being there for me. Fond appreciation of friendship with my WLA classmates. Thank you also to Trina Hernandez, APNP, Dr. Patrick Mannebach and SSM Hospice, especially Joy, for helping guide us through the path God laid out for me.
Jesus took the wheel…Bruce John…I’m coming home.
