Arthur Kuehn, age 84, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center.
Arthur was born on April 4, 1926, in Ripon, WI, to Fred and Mary (Hallman) Kuehn. He completed his schooling in Ripon. Arthur served the US Army in 1944, and married Marion (Birkholz) on July 24, 1988, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He worked for Speed Queen for 42 years as an inspector, and he also owned and operated Kuehn’s Corner Laundry, and Art Kuehn’s Sanitation and Transportation. He was a member of the Ripon V.F.W., Fox Valley Dance Club, and the Polka Boosters. Art enjoyed bird watching, feeding the birds, biking and polka dancing.
Arthur is survived by his wife Marion of Ripon, WI; children Kenneth (Linda) Kuehn of Oshkosh, WI, Jim Kuehn of Libertyville, IL, Susan (John) Williams of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Nathan Williams of Oshkosh, WI, Benjamin Williams of Oshkosh, WI, Ryan Williams of Oshkosh, WI, Brett Williams of Ripon, WI; step-children Christine (Bob) Topel of Waterloo, WI, Cathie (Howard) Bohl of Beaver Dam, WI, Susan (Thomas) Voigt of Beaver Dam, WI; step grandchildren Jennifer (Jeffery) Spoke of Waterloo, WI, Jeffery Topel of Des Moines, IA, Karen (Ryan) Lee of Edgerton, WI, Kelly Topel of Edgerton, WI, Amy Bohl of Fond du Lac, WI, Michael Bohl of Beaver Dam, WI, Megan Bohl of Milwaukee, WI, John Bohl of Beaver Dam, WI, Bethany (Michael) Fedyszyn of Hartland, WI, Anthony Voigt of Beaver Dam, WI; three step grandchildren Ian and Marissa Spoke, and Lucy Lee. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bob; and one sister, Louella.
Visitation for Arthur Kuehn will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010, from 10 to 12 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI.
Funeral service for Arthur Kuehn will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010, at 12 noon at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with the Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Cremation will follow the service. A memorial is being established.
