Anthony T. Switala, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, WI, with his wife and daughters by his side.
Tony was born on March 1, 1941, the son of Roman and Leocadia (Maternowski) Switala in Milwaukee, WI. In 1997 he married Lois Grinder in Green Lake, WI. Tony graduated from Don Bosco High School, and went on to become a member of the U.S. National Guard. He worked as a branch manager for the Gustave A. Larson Company. Tony loved to hunt, fish, win the slot machines, and was a Packers fan.
Tony is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lynn (Marc) Manning of Milwaukee, WI, Lisa (Troy) Lisiecki of Milwaukee, WI; two grandsons, Travis and Trent Lisiecki; a nephew, Brian Switala of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Gillquist, Dr. Jean Switala; mother of his daughters, Jean Switala, and his faithful friend, Buffy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kevin Switala.
Visitation for Tony will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth Street, Green Lake.
A memorial mass for Tony will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father Philip Krogman officiating.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Berlin Hospital and Markesan Resident Home for their wonderful care of Tony. A memorial is being established his name.
