Anthony “Tony” J. Briskie, age 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his home.
Tony was born on the family farm east of Ripon on December 15, 1934, the son of Alexander and Caroline (Rivers) Briskie. He graduated from Ripon High School. On August 13, 1955, he married Elaine Disterhaft, and she passed away in January of 1999. On February 13, 2010, he married Donna Myers in West Allis, WI. Tony was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, as well as Knights of Columbus and the National Farmers Organization. He was a dairy farmer for many years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to talk radio, and time with his family.
Tony is survived by his wife, Donna Briskie of Ripon, WI; six children: Christopher (Margaret) Briskie of Greendale, WI, Victoria (Alan) Woyak of Green Lake, WI, Ida Mae (William) Bernarde of Sussex, WI, Alan Briskie of Ripon, WI, Sandra (Robert) Cleveland of Colgate, WI, and Bruce (Sherry) Briskie of Ripon, WI; grandchildren: Laura, Megan (Tyler), Jessica (Bucco), Krystal (Brad), Greg (Jenny), Michael, Amanda, Cassandra (Shaun), Matthew, Emily (Bryan), Erin, Adam, William (Geida), Jonathan (Megan), Mackenzie, Garrett, Owen, and Avery; nine great-grandchildren: Haleigh, Skylar, Trent, Hunter, Natalie, Alexzander, Shelby, Eleanor, and Carter; five sisters, Bernadette Krentz, Madaline Gilbert, Evelyn (Roger) Mlodzik, Francis (Robert) Chmielewski and Terry (Jeff) Duven; one brother, Patrick Briskie; step-children, Paul (Elizabeth) Myers and Daniel Myers. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; cousins, and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dennis and in-laws, Eugene Gilbert, Gordon Krentz and Christine Briskie.
A visitation for Tony will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018, also at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
