Ann Jeannette Yerk, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Maplecrest Assisted Living in Ripon.
Ann was born July 13, 1931, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of William F. and Jessie P. (Zank) Prellwitz. In 1949, she graduated from Ripon High School and on May 26, 1951, Ann married Carl F. Yerk at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. She worked at Speed Queen, currently known as Alliance Laundry Systems as a buyer for 37 years. Ann enjoyed gardening, sewing, boat cruises, going to the casino and fishing. She was an avid Packer fan but the most important to her was being a homemaker and raising her two sons.
Survivors include two sons, James A. (Mary Lou) Yerk of Berlin, WI and Robert C. Yerk of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, James C. (fiancé, Alana Brady) Yerk of Ripon, WI, Jayson A. Yerk of Oshkosh, WI and Kayla Keipe. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jessie Prellwitz; husband, Carl Yerk; sister, Dorothy Walker and brother, Lester Prellwitz.
Visitation for Ann will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 10 - 11:00 am in the chapel of Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI 54901.
Memorial Service for Ann will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Oshkosh with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Inurnment will follow. Memorials will be directed to St. Jude by the family.
The Yerk family appreciates the compassionate care that was given to Ann through Agnesian Hospice and the Maplecrest Assisted Living staff members for their excellent care.
