Alvin Butch Nordmark of Ripon, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh, WI.
He was born in Elroy on February 2, 1942, the son of Theodore and Doris (Umphrey) Nordmark. He married Donna Mae Nechkash on August 24, 1968.
Butch spent many summers driving truck for the canning factory and countless years working as a carpenter including helping to build one daughters (Janet) home and remodeling another daughters (Jessica) home. His true passions were the outdoors, singing karaoke and dancing. He loved playing softball and fondly recalls the no-hitter he pitched while playing on the Green Lake Pharmacy team. Butch loved shooting pool, fishing and deer, squirrel and turkey hunting. He shared his knowledge and love of the outdoors with his children and even taught their hunter safety education classes. He left his legacy by creating countless special hunting and fishing memories with his children and grandchildren.
Butch is survived by his children: Joe (Bonnie) Nordmark, Janet (Scott) Briese, Brandy Nordmark, Jessica (Dave) Gales; grandchildren Andrea and Amber Briese, Jessica and Samantha Neustifter (father Scott Neustifter), Betsy and Millie Gales; his brothers Theodore Bud Nordmark of Jacksonville, FL and Warren Nordmark of Fond du Lac, WI and sister-in-law Rita Nordmark. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Nordmark, sister Frances Nordmark, brother Jerry Nordmark and sister-in-law, Frankie Nordmark.
Visitation for Butch will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 10 11:00 am at Rosendale United Church of Christ, 204 Division St., Rosendale, WI 54974.
Memorial Service for Butch will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 11:00 am at Rosendale United Church of Christ with Reverend Wesley Wassell officiating. A memorial is being established.
