Alvin Al George Guderski, age 71, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI.
Al was born on February 22, 1945, the son of John W. and Helen (Mlodzik) Guderski, in Ripon, WI. He graduated from Markesan High School, and went on to become a member of the U.S. National Guard. Al worked in shipping and receiving at Kingsbury of Oshkosh, and Green Giant of Ripon. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to play cribbage, enjoyed NASCAR and his time with Millers crew in Ripon and Jims County Line crew in Oshkosh.
Al is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Guderski, and Tricia (Brian) Retzlaff, both of Omro, WI; grandsons, Preston, Peyton, Camden, and Brenden; special friend Shan Kramer of Green Lake, WI; six brothers, John F. (Ruth) Guderski, Stanley H. (Janice) Guderski, Jim G. Guderski, Joe M. (Marilyn) Guderski, Tom G. (Colleen) Guderski, and Mark A. Guderski; two sisters, EvaMae Astrach and Lucille T. (Bob) Severson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his neighborhood son, Richie Buck Ninneman. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patricia A. Biesenthal and Frances Mattson, and brothers-in-law, John Astrach and Orville Biesenthal.
A visitation for Al will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St, Ripon, WI.
A memorial mass for Al will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, with Father William Whalen officiating. Military honors will follow.
Als family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Theda second floor staff and hospice, Eden Meadows staff, and the staff at Bethel Home. A memorial is being established in Als name.
