Alice M. Bazeley

Alice M. Bazeley, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the age of 92, at her home in Ripon, WI.

Alice was born in Oak Center, WI on March 6, 1933, daughter of Emil and Olga (Schultz) Jahns. She grew up in the Eldorado area. Alice was united in marriage to Donald Bazeley on September 22, 1952. Together they farmed for many years, and raised six children. They were devoted members of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. Alice enjoyed gardening and canning, and loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed fishing and would make the best fish frys (never giving out her secret recipe). Together Alice and Don liked playing cards and going to the casino. She loved having everyone over for her big Christmas dinner, and always made her grasshoppers afterward. Most of all Alice cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her puppy, Cuddles, who never left her side.

Alice is survived by her children, Bonnie (Mike) Thom of Berlin, WI, Diane Bazeley of Markesan, WI, Nancy (Jamie) Roberts of Green Lake, WI, Beverly (James) Stamm of Green Lake, WI, and Brian (Louie) Bazeley of Green Lake, WI; daughter-in-law, Kathy Bazeley of Waupun, WI; grandchildren, Randi (Stacey) Thom, Nikki (Ken) Cherek, Corey (Stacey) Schwandt, Casey (Genna) Schwandt, Jeremy (Erin) Bazeley, Jason (Jess) Bazeley, Angie (Jeff) Buttjer, Kristi (Nick) Bednarek, Ashley Krueger, Gina (Justin) Bazeley, Marissa (finacé, Ole) Bazeley; as well as step-grandchildren. She was blessed with many dear great-grandchildren. Alice is also survived by a sister, Ruth Feavel; two brothers, Don (Judy) Jahns and Norman (Joan) Jahns; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Olga Jahns; loving husband of 60 years, Donald Bazeley; a son, Larry Bazeley; grandson, Andy Mashuda; great-grandson, Easton Thom; six brothers; four sisters; and sister-in-law, Lorraine.

Visitation for Alice will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church, 440 Lake St., Green Lake, WI 54941.

Funeral service for Alice will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, with Pastor Nickolas Haasch officiating.
