Alfred Raasch

Alfred H. Raasch, age 100, of Neshkoro, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Martha’s in Princeton, WI.

Al was born on March 21, 1917, in Princeton, the son of Albert and Effie (Luker) Raasch. On May 29, 1942, he married Esther E. Weich in Dubuque, IA. Al was a diesel mechanic for Frank Mashuda Construction Company and after that he worked as Superintendent for Mashuda and Gallagher at Vanport Stone Company in New Castle, PA. He came back to Wisconsin in 1968, where he started A.H. Raasch & Sons Construction Company. He built a dredge and dredged out Beyer’s Cove on Big Green Lake, which is now a beautiful development on Orchard Ave. Al was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton.

Al is survived by his 3 sons, Ronald (Pat) Raasch of Princeton; Jerald (Sue) Raasch of Oshkosh; and Terry (Kelly) Raasch of Neshkoro; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Al was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A visitation for Al will be held on April 28, 2017 from 9 – 11:00 am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 202 S. Farmer Street, Princeton, WI, 54968.

A funeral service for Al will be held at on April 28, 2017, at 11:00 am at Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor Bob Busse officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of St. Marie, Green Lake County. A memorial is being established in his name.
